Sow & Grow:
Sow Outdoors: sow thinly where they are to crop, 1.5cm deep directly into finely prepared soilwhich has already been watered. Seedlings usually appear in 14- 21 days. Thin seedlings to 30cm apart. Water well untill plants are established. Cloche protection in autumn allows winter.
Or grow indoors: Sow 0.5cm deep, thinly in small pots of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 15-20 °C is ideal. Plants can be grown on to maturity on a light windowsill.
Harvesting: Pick the leaves are required, (outdoor crops from may). Pick a few leaves from each plant so they will regrow quickly.
