Bridgend Garden Centre was established in 1986 by George McKinlay. It started in a small unit adjacent to the current site with a greenhouse and a passion to provide strong, healthy, quality plants to gardener’s and give expert advice. The following year when George’s daughter Caroline turned 16 she began working with him. Therefore, it wasn’t long before the humble beginnings grew into the vast site which is now Bridgend Garden Centre.
The McKinlay’s continue to operate as a family business. As a result, today, Caroline’s daughter Ruth is following in her footsteps and has now joined the business.
The family promote a friendly, welcome atmosphere for gardening enthusiasts. This is evident by meeting the staff team at Bridgend Garden Centre. The focus is on customer service and offering quality plants and products with a wealth of expert advice on hand.
