Hydrangea serrata Veerle PVR 2L

This great new variety stands out through its big, flat inflorescences of flowers that are fertile in the centre and sterile on the margin. It is very interesting because of the early and abundant lace-cap flowering in sustained colours (pink or blue in acid soil) before maturing to deep purple. In order to provoke a second flowering under good conditions, prune right after the first one. Hardy to -20, deciduous. Green foliage turning to red & orange in autumn.
