A classic, highly desirable, annual flowering Sweet William. It’s the ideal cottage garden favourite and a staple that works in any garden theme. Blooms are rich in colour and appear in pretty clusters. This plant is a true treasure that will keep coming back as strong as ever.

Easy to grow for mixed borders and containers and flowers the first year from an early sowing. Makes a lovely, sweet scented cut flower display.

Sow & Grow:

Sow indoors, a warm kitchen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. Sow 0.5cm (¼”) deep, in trays of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 15-20˚C (60-68˚F) is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 14-28 days. Transplant seedlings 5cm (2”) apart to further trays when large enough to handle. (Always handle by a leaf, never by the stem.) Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 20cm (8”) apart, when frosts are over.
