Carrot – Chantenay Red Cored 2

A popular maincrop variety with broad wedge-shaped roots. High yielding with crunchy flesh and a small core, it can be harvested from a small size and will store well. Prefers a light, stone free soil not recently manured.

Sow outdoors March-June.

Harvest June-November. Lift in October or November, remove soil from the roots and store in dry sand.
