Swede – Best of All
Medium-sized, globe-shaped variety with purple skin and yellow flesh. Very hardy reliable with good storage qualities. Still one of the best! Prefers a well dug, rich soil.
Sow outdoors May-July.
Harvest October-March. Leave in ground until required, or lift and store in a cool, frost free place and cover with straw or dry sand.
