Parsnip – Hollow Crown

Very productive tradtional variety with long creamy white roots and broad shoulders. Good sweet flavour and stores well. Prefers a light stone free soil which has not been recently manured.

Sow outdoors February-April.

Harvest October-February. Leave roots in the ground as flavour is improved by frost. Lift remaining roots in February and store undamaged roots in sand in a dry frost-free area.
