Desiree is a heavy cropper and early bulking potato. It produces oval red skinned tubers with pale yellow flesh. Medium dry flesh, firm cooked texture makes this potato excellent for boiling, frying and mashing. High resistance to drought and a good resistance to potato virus Y and powdery scab.
