Boysenberry 3 Litre Pot
Originated from the famous Knott’s Berry Farm in California, this superb hybrid berry is complicated cross between a blackberry, loganberry, dewberry and a raspberry!. It is vigorous and a profilic cropper. The fruit is round to oblong in shape and dark purple in colour, they have a unique flavour that combines the tartness of good old fashioned wild blackberries with a sweet hint of raspberry. The berries can be eaten fresh or used for bramble and apple jelly or pue fillings. Boysenberries are undemanding, disease, drought resistant and extremely easy to grow.

Prepare area before planting by digging over a mix of manure or compost into the soil. Plant as soon as possible after purchase, provided weather conditions are suitable. Plant in moist peaty acid soils or in containers with ericaceous compost. Mulch yearly with well rottred or manure to retain moisture and suppress the weeds. Cut out some of the larger stems to ground level after harvesting of fruits.
